The 2024 Health Literacy Summit showcased the Collaborative efforts on the Advancing Health Literacy Project, presenting the Organizational Health Literacy Model and Toolkit tailored for non-health-related community-based organizations. The summit highlighted partnerships between community organizations and DC Health, focusing on project activities such as training, messaging co-creation, language access, social needs assessment, and program evaluation to foster effective health literacy practices. The morning plenary session was centered on establishing a collaborative learning model for sustainable practice change and spotlighting the toolkit's components co-created during the project. The afternoon sessions highlighted the efforts of the community partners to improve health literacy among their residents.
