Learn how to access, share, and make referrals to local resources that support health and social needs . LinkU is a free online resource and referral guide customized for the residents and community providers of DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV). The LinkU network connects people seeking help to verified social care providers that assist with food, housing, mental health, and all other medical and social support services. Health Literacy Best Practices for the Latinx Population
This training, led by staff at La Clinica Del Pueblo, aims to discuss the context of the Latinx Community in the United States and DC, Maryland, and Virginia and to understand the concept of health literacy and its importance/impact on the communities we serve.
Navigating Medical Care: When and How to Visit a Health Provider
The training is built for non-clinicians who serve as trusted messengers for residents and contribute to improving patient advocacy. Viewers will learn to differentiate indications for primary, urgent, and emergency care visits and identify trustworthy health information sources to share with their residents.
